Which A3 were you looking at? Their top end A3 = R32, while I suppose a 4 door GTI would be the same as a 4 door A3. R32 is two-door :) And they don't make it anymore. I think it had a limited run in the US for two years or less. I like the S3 in Europe but the s-line trim A3 in the US isn't as wicked from the looks of it.
